Job Title: Nursing Auxiliary

DescriptionÂ
Patient Care:
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Helping patients with mobility and positioning, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Feeding and providing assistance with nutritional needs.
Vital Signs Monitoring:
- Taking and recording vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiratory rate.
Observation and Reporting:
- Observing and reporting any changes in the patient’s condition or behavior to the nursing staff.
- Documenting patient information accurately and timely.
Mobility Assistance:
- Assisting patients in ambulation and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment to prevent injuries.
Supporting Nursing Procedures:
- Assisting nurses with various medical procedures, such as wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection.
Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment:
- Keeping patient rooms and common areas clean and organized.
- Following infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
Patient Interaction:
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Communicating effectively with patients and their families.
Equipment Handling:
- Properly using and maintaining medical equipment.
- Assisting in the setup and use of specialized equipment as needed.
Collaboration with Healthcare Team:
- Collaborating with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
Continuing Education:
- Participating in training and educational programs to enhance skills and stay updated on healthcare practices.
Adherence to Policies and Procedures:
- Following established policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a high standard of care and ensure patient safety.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess an OND qualification with 1 year work experience.
Salary
N40,000 – N60,000 monthly.
