For our office in Lucerne we are looking for a motivated and independent personality as
Head of International Health Programs (80 – 100%, Member of the Executive Board)
These tasks await you:
- Operational management & organizational development of the International Programs Department
- Implementation and coordination of programs according to project documents, contracts and professional standards
- Further development of programs and development of new projects in cooperation with the Medicine & Public Health department
- Ensuring the necessary human, technical and organizational resources to implement the programs
- Maintaining relationships with donors and acquiring new funding
- Representation of SolidarMed to partners, members, networks and board
- Participation in the management and participation in shaping the strategic direction
You bring this profile with you so that you fit ideally into the role and the team:
- Academic education up to a minimum Master’s degree in an area relevant to international cooperation
- 3-5 years of direct operational management of IZA programmes in Africa, including rural areas (health-related experience is an advantage)
- Successful management of at least medium-sized teams over several years
- Concrete professional experience in the NPO sector
- Many years of experience in project cycle management, budgeting, financial planning (including cooperation with local NGOs)
- Experience in developing new projects in the healthcare sector
- Successful acquisition of funding and support from institutional donors
- As a dynamic team player, you can communicate excellently and motivate people
- Fluent in German and English, spoken and written
- Experience with research programs is a plus
