We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Anesthetist
Locations:Â Lagos and Ogun
Key Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Assess patients’ medical history to determine the most appropriate anesthetic plan.
- Manage pain relief through various anesthetic techniques, including general, regional, and local anesthesia. Monitor vital signs and anesthesia depth, making necessary adjustments to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with surgeons, ICU physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for seamless perioperative and critical care.
- Provide emergency resuscitation, airway management, and advanced life support when necessary. Oversee anesthetic care for critically ill patients in the ICU, including ventilator management and sedation protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety guidelines. Educate patients on anesthetic procedures, risks, and post-operative recovery. Stay updated on advancements in anesthesia, pain management, and critical care medicine.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) with a specialization in Anesthesia.
- Certification in Anesthesia & Critical Care (or equivalent training in intensive care medicine).
- Valid license to practice in Nigeria.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in anesthesia administration and critical care settings.
- Strong expertise in pain management, airway control, and intensive care. Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and make quick, informed decisions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills for working in high-pressure environments.
- Must have Critical Care Training
