Job Announcement

STOOS Consulting is looking for experts in the field of Veterinary Medicinal Product Control Center (VETKOM) in Turkey. This project, in line with the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) and international best practices, will involve conducting a comprehensive Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), developing a Stakeholder Engagement Plan, and preparing Sub-Management Plans for Contractors.

The ESIA will evaluate environmental and social risks during the design, construction, and operational phases, incorporating air quality and noise measurements, as well as stakeholder consultations. Given the scale and importance of this initiative, STOOS Consulting is seeking qualified experts with experience in environmental and social assessments for World Bank-funded projects.

1. Team Leader

Responsibilities

• S/He is responsible for all units/key personnel of the CONSULTANT within the scope of the work.
• It provides coordination with official institutions and organizations.
• Quality reviews of outputs
• Technical coordination with other parties, i.e., PIU[1], design consultants, procurement team etc.
• Quality assurance
• In accordance with the scientific, administrative, artistic rules of the contract; as a manager, he/ she is responsible for making the necessary intellectual, administrative and scientific arrangements for the execution of the business plan and program.
• It is obliged to ensure coordination in all matters related to the ADMINISTRATION.
• The CONSULTANT will follow up the activities employed by the CONSULTANT, will be in constant communication with the Ministry regarding the work and transactions, and will submit the reports, documents and materials prepared and approved by the other experts mentioned above within the scope of the job description to the Ministry.
• Coordinate and supervise the organization and dissemination of all necessary inputs to ensure that activities are implemented in accordance with World Bank rules and procedures,
• S/He will be responsible for the execution and delivery of the work in accordance with the established schedule.

Qualifications

• Having managed at least 5 ESIA (Environmental and Social Impact Assessment) processes in line with the relevant standards of international financial institutions (WB, IFC, EBRD etc.) in the last 10 years,
• Having an experience in managing HSE and/or undertaking ESIA for BSL laboratories and be able to interact with the BSL laboratories design teams and clients shall be an asset.
• Fluency in Turkish and written and spoken language skills in English shall be an asset.

Diplomas of technical personnel and documents showing similar work experience shall be submitted to the Administration at the proposal stage.
