Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Renal Care Technician to join our critical healthcare team.
- The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in dialysis procedures, patient monitoring, and the operation of dialysis equipment in fast-paced clinical or hospital settings.
- The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to provide safe, quality care to patients with renal conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate dialysis machines in accordance with clinical safety standards.
- Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment (vital signs, symptoms, reactions).
- Maintain cleanliness, calibration, and proper functioning of dialysis equipment.
- Mix and monitor dialysis solutions and water treatment systems.
- Document patient treatment data accurately in electronic or manual systems.
- Assist nurses and physicians during dialysis-related procedures.
- Manage infection control protocols and maintain sterile environments.
- Educate patients on dialysis processes, care plans, and lifestyle considerations.
- Respond quickly and professionally to emergency situations and adverse patient reactions.
- Ensure proper disposal of medical waste and adherence to regulatory healthcare guidelines.
Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Dialysis Technology, Biomedical Technology, Nursing, or related fields
- 2 – 4 years of experience working in dialysis units or critical healthcare environments (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of dialysis machines, water treatment, and renal care procedures.
- Ability to recognize and respond to patient complications swiftly.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and patient-care skills.
- Good documentation and reporting ability.
- Current license/certification from relevant regulatory bodies (added advantage).
Salary
N200,000 – N300,000 monthly.
