The Management of the Federal Neuro- Psychiatric Hospital, Calabar, Cross River State, invites applications from interested and suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position below:
Job Title: Medical Director / CEO
Location:Â Calabar, Cross River
Responsibilities
- The Medical Director is the Head/Chief Executive of the Institution. He/she is accountable to the Board of Management and the Coordinating Minister of Health 8 Social Welfare.
- The Medical Director is charged with the responsibility of executing policies and matters affecting the day-to-day management of the affairs of the hospital.
Requirements
- Candidate must be a Medical Practitioner registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria with not less than twelve (12) years post-graduation.
- Candidate must be a fellow of either the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or the West African Postgraduate Medical College or its equivalent registerable by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
- Candidate must have been a Consultant in the speciality of Psychiatry duly registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria for a minimum of five (5) years.
- Candidate must be medically fit (Attach Evidence).
- Candidate must be of proven good character and integrity.
- Evidence of Medical Research is an added advantage.
- Administrative qualification and experience are added advantages.
- Knowledge of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is an added advantage.
- Attraction of funded grants by an individual candidate is an added advantage.
Salary and Allowance
- Salary and allowances will be in accordance with the Public Service Salary Structure for this category of officer.
