Description
- The Medical Officer will provide high-quality medical care to patients, support clinical excellence, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in line with approved clinical guidelines
- Conduct ward rounds, outpatient consultations, and emergency care as required
- Prescribe medications and treatments appropriately
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and continuous medical education
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
- Provide patient education and counselling on health management and prevention
Requirements & Qualifications
- MBBS / MBChB from a recognized institution
- Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
- Valid practicing license
- Minimum of 2–4years post-qualification experience (preferred)
- Strong clinical, communication, and decision-making skills
- Commitment to quality care and continuous learning
- Strong knowledge of EMR.
