About The Chain of Hope
The Chain of Hope is an international NGO founded in 1994. Its aim is to strengthen health systems to give everyone and in particular children the same chances of survival and development. We operate in 28 countries using a global approach, focused on children but also on mothers and disadvantaged communities.

  • Prevention and screening from an early age, particularly within the framework of school health programs.
  • Care and surgery, to meet the most urgent needs of children and their mothers.

  • Construction and equipment of hospital structures adapted to local needs.

Position and mission
He will be under the direct responsibility of the Head of the Medical Department.

Main activities:

  • Support for activities carried out within the framework of the initiative ‘The Future of Hospitals and their Health Systems’ within which the Chaîne de l’Espoir carries the theme Human Resources in Health (RHS): providing the Technical Expertise Department with administrative and logistical support and technical support in public health, contributing to the organization of webinar type events, workshops, etc.
  • Organization of meetings, training and workshops: Assist the head of the Department and his team in the organization and running of meetings and training sessions for health professionals.
  • Support for medical missions:
    • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of humanitarian missions, including coordination with medical and logistics teams at headquarters and in the field.
    • Organization of meetings with the people concerned
    • Forecasting documents and media
    • Writing meeting minutes
    • Writing reports and strategic notes: Participate in the drafting of summaries, recommendations and public policy notes on health issues addressed by the NGO.

Secondary activities:

  • Analysis of health policies: Contribute to the evaluation of health policies and programs implemented by the NGO in different regions of intervention.
  • Data collection and analysis: Participate in the collection of qualitative and quantitative data on access to care, public health indicators and the impact of medical projects.
  • Public health project management: Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of medical projects, ensuring compliance with objectives and performance indicators.
  • Research on innovations in digital health: Study how health technologies (telemedicine, databases, health AI) can be integrated into humanitarian missions.
  • Communication and advocacy: Write articles, presentations and content to raise awareness of health issues and promote the NGO’s actions in conjunction with the Development and Communication Department
  • Scientific and regulatory monitoring: Monitor developments in scientific advances, public health policies, WHO recommendations and good practices in humanitarian intervention.

PROFILE SOUGHT

Training
2nd year Master’s student in Public Health, Health Economics in Developing Countries, or Health Systems Management.

  • Sense of autonomy, rigor and concentration
  • Writing fluency
  • Adaptation skills and professional curiosity
  • Effectively plan, organize and coordinate work activities
  • Identify, evaluate and choose tools adapted to carrying out these activities in particular
  • Language: good level of English desired
  • Very good interpersonal skills and listening/communication skills
  • Interest in the international solidarity sector and public health issues.

  • Adherence to the humanitarian principles and ethical code of La Chaîne de l’Espoir

Conditions:

  • 6-month approved internship
  • Internship date: June 2026
  • Full-time internship, based at the association’s headquarters at 56 rue des Morillons 75015 Paris
  • Teleworking charter: up to 2 days per month after the first month
  • Bonus: 4.50 € /hour (according to legal scale and on a basis of 35 hours /week)
  • Meal Tickets worth 12.10 € 60% covered
  • Reimbursement of transport subscription up to 50% or sustainable mobility allowance (bicycle) of 45 euros/month
