Surveillance Worker with Population Science under the Health Systems and Population Studies Division (Adv#101/2026)
Key responsibilities:
- Visit households and collect health and demographic information, socio-economic and other study-related data through tab;
- Take written consent from the respondents for routine HDSS data collection;
- Participate in meetings with supervisor twice a month to exchange problems that arise in the field and seek solutions;
- Update all HDSS events in the Census Volume at Matlab Office;
- Conduct Verbal Autopsy (VA) interviews;
- Conduct pregnancy tests for the eligible pregnant women at household level and maintain records of tested results;
- Distribute ORS and Zinc Tablet to the community people and maintain record books accordingly;
- Extend support to different research studies.
Required qualifications and experience:
- HSC or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in field research work and data collection preferably using TAB. Knowledge and experience in primary health care and doing pregnancy test will be added advantage;

Number of Positions:Â 01Contract Type and duration:
Short-Term; duration will be 11 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.Salary & benefits:
- 25,560/- month(consolidated), inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances;
- Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen.
