We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title:Â Medical Officer
Location:Â Victoria Island, Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
- Consultation: See, assess, diagnose, and treat patients in OPD with common acute and chronic conditions
- Ward Rounds: Admit, review, and manage in-patients daily. Write progress notes, prescriptions, and discharge summaries
- Emergency Care: Attend to emergency cases, provide first-line stabilization and resuscitation. Triage patients effectively
- Procedures: Perform minor procedures – suturing, IV cannulation, catheterization, lumbar puncture, wound care, etc.
Patient Management:
- Order and interpret investigations: labs, x-rays, ECG
- Make referrals to specialists when needed and follow up on patient outcomes
- Counsel patients and relatives on diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventive care
- Participate in antenatal, postnatal, child welfare, and other specialty clinics as assigned
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate, timely EMR/HMIS records
- Ensure proper prescription, coding, and billing documentation
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and MDCN ethical guidelines
- Participate in clinical audits, mortality meetings, and CME
Teamwork:
- Work with nurses, pharmacists, lab scientists, and specialists for coordinated care
- Supervise and guide House Officers and interns
- Participate in on-call duties, weekends, and public health programs as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: MBBS / MBChB from a recognized medical school
- License: Full registration and current practicing license with Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria
- Experience: 3-5 years post-NYSC. NYSC completion certificate required.
Skills:
- Strong clinical and emergency management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
- EMR proficiency.
