Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and clinically competent Medical Doctor to join our team as a full-time resident doctor.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification clinical experience, strong general medical knowledge, good clinical judgment, and the ability to independently manage patients and perform appropriate basic surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for patients.
- Attend to patients in the outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and other clinical settings as required.
- Take accurate patient histories and perform thorough physical examinations.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform and/or assist with basic surgical procedures within the doctor’s competence and approved scope of practice.
- Participate actively in the hospital’s surgical services and ensure proper pre-operative and post-operative patient management.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and provide timely intervention.
- Monitor admitted patients and ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and clinical documentation.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, laboratory personnel, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide appropriate patient and family education.
- Maintain high standards of medical ethics, professionalism, confidentiality, and patient safety.
- Participate in clinical reviews, case discussions, and other activities aimed at improving quality of care.
- Carry out other reasonable clinical responsibilities assigned by the hospital management.
Education & Professional Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from a recognized institution.
- Must be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Must possess a valid practicing licence.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification clinical experience.
- Previous experience in a hospital environment is required.
- Demonstrable experience and competence in basic surgical procedures is highly desirable.
- Candidates with additional postgraduate training, relevant certifications, or experience in surgical practice will have an advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Good knowledge of general medicine and primary/emergency care.
- Demonstrable competence in performing basic surgical procedures.
- Ability to independently manage routine clinical cases.

Other Requirements:
- This is a full-time residential position.
- The successful candidate is expected to reside in the hospital-provided accommodation and be available for assigned residential/on-call clinical responsibilities.
- Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage patients responsibly with appropriate clinical judgment.
- Candidates should be comfortable performing basic surgical procedures within their training, competence, and professional scope.

Remuneration & Benefits
- Salary: N550,000 – N650,000 monthly, depending on experience and competence.
