Job Description
Jhpiego is an international non-profit public health NGO, affiliated with Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, United States, which works to improve the health of women and families around the world.
In collaboration with the Educational Consultant, the consultant supports the operational implementation of the GHWI Initiative, including the organization of simulation sessions and reporting of activities.
Responsibilities
- Agree with INFAS teaching staff on essential skills incorporated into the training curriculum;
- Facilitate student/learner rotation in simulation rooms to ensure effective exposure of each student to each key skill;
- Develop/revise, if appropriate, checklists for each skill for assessing student progress in the process of acquiring new skills;
- Prepare simulation rooms and anatomical models with simulation sessions.
- Support teaching staff in supervising students;
- Ensure compliance of simulations with lessons given in the classroom;
- Conduct technical update sessions on body coaching on the efficient use of anatomical models for skills transfer;
- Produce activity and progress reports for the different cohorts of learners.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bac + 3 in nursing and obstetrics or similar diploma;
- At least five (5) years in a role of trainer, supervisor, capacity development in Côte d’Ivoire;
- Mastery of IT tools and good knowledge of basic software;
- Organizational skills, training and mentoring;
- Good written and oral communication skills in French;
- Spirit of collaboration and ability to work in a team;
- Additional training in andragogy is an asset.
