Clinical Specialist Rehabilitation in pediatrics (developmental disorders) F/M At Doctors Without Borders

Médecins Sans Frontières, an international humanitarian medical association created in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: mainly in the event of armed conflicts, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters or even exclusion of care.

The opening of this position is as part of a permanent replacement.

Context

In mid-2023, the MSF Foundation launched a rehabilitation development project within the MSF movement. Its aim is to provide support and expertise to missions wishing to develop their rehabilitation care offering in four areas (pediatric rehabilitation, women’s health, burns and equipment assisted by 3D technology). For these different categories of care, we offer to assess needs, define objectives, and help set up and monitor these projects mainly on MSF missions.

As part of the development of rehabilitation activities in pediatrics, the position’s activities aim in a non-exhaustive manner at the fields of pediatric neurology and neuro-motor developmental disorders in children in contexts of malnutrition and epidemics. A transversal approach to other fields of pediatric rehabilitation is necessary in order to meet other field needs with other rehabilitation specialists.

Since 2023, pediatric rehabilitation activities supported by the MSF Foundation have been concentrated in Yemen, Chad and Nigeria. Other projects may be developed.
