Job Title: Medical Doctor

Role Description

•  The Medical Doctor will provide comprehensive clinical care to patients, including history taking, physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.
• Day to day responsibilities include managing outpatient and inpatient cases, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting investigations, and documenting care accurately in medical records.
• The role involves collaboration with nurses, other physicians, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated, safe, and effective patient care.
• The Medical Doctor will also participate in health education and preventive care initiatives, and may support emergency and on-call services as required.
• This is a full-time, on-site role based at Daniel Adewole Awe Medical Center, Ilesa.

Qualifications

• Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
• Demonstrated clinical competency in primary and secondary care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of common medical conditions.
• Strong skills in patient assessment, medical documentation, and the use of clinical guidelines and evidence-based practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and to communicate clearly and respectfully with patients and colleagues.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and adherence to professional standards and regulations.
• Capacity to handle a varied caseload, prioritize tasks, and remain calm and effective in busy or urgent clinical situations.
• Willingness to participate in continuous professional development, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Prior experience in a hospital or clinic setting, particularly in primary or secondary care, is an advantage.
