Jos University Teaching Hospital, commissioned on Tuesday, 10th April 1990 by the then Honourable Minister for Health, Professor Alikoye Ransome-Kuti, is a Federal Tertiary Health Institution pursuing excellence in the provision of services, training and research. The mandate of its establishment is to provide health promotion, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services to the general population.

- Candidates must possess the fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or the Fellowship of the West African Postgraduate Medical College.
- In addition, Candidates should have a current practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and an NYSC discharge or Exemption certificate.
