Médecins Sans Frontières, an international humanitarian medical association created in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: mainly in the event of armed conflict, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters or exclusion from care. The French section is present in around thirty countries.

As part of a temporary creation, we are looking for a:

Medical Supply Chain study and improvement project manager M/F

1/Mission:

The OCP medical supply chain is a critical element in the conduct of our operations. This Supply Chain faces a number of difficulties that we want to address in order to improve our operational performance.

The project manager will have to carry out a study of our current medical supply chain, propose ways to improve, carry out tests accordingly, then launch and monitor the pilots at the field level.

2/ Main responsibilities:

The project manager will lead the medical supply chain study and improvement project in order to produce the following deliverables:

  • Thorough analysis of each difficulty identified in the terms of reference of the project. This analysis will include on the one hand an evaluation study of the supply chain and on the other hand a review of the work already carried out in the past by identifying the causes for which certain recommendations could not be put in place.
  • Proposals for concrete improvements that can be implemented, revision of the current Supply model by insisting on the identification of the actors, a detailed action plan and the conditions for success to be implemented
  • Realization of tests in operational mode, allowing to measure the real impact attributable to the proposed evolutions
  • Launch and follow-up of two or three pilots on a mission scale over a period of 12 months

The project manager will animate the various governance bodies of the project; the steering committee and the project committee.

3/Profile sought

Trainings:

Master’s degree in supply chain stock management, failing that, professional experience in supply chain / significant medical stock management (3 years).

Experiences:

Professional experience as a project manager in the field of medical supply .

Experience with MSF is a plus.

Skills and abilities :

Significant analytical skills, particularly on organizational models and quantitative data.

Writing skills: analysis report, capitalization.

Diplomatic skills and ability to discuss/negotiate with different stakeholders

LANGUAGES :

French B2, English B2

4/ Status: 18-month full-time fixed-term contract. Executive position, ideally based in Paris, however possibility of teleworking with regular visits to Paris at the MSF France headquarters. Several trips of a few weeks to MSF sites are to be expected.

5/Conditions:

€46.5K gross per year over 13 months. 22 days of RTT per year. Complementary health care 100% covered by Médecins Sans Frontières. Restaurant vouchers with a face value of €11 (60% covered by Médecins Sans Frontières). Support for 50% of the public transport ticket.
