Job description

 

Within the Directorate of Operations, and more specifically the DOAP (Directorate of Operations Assistant to the Programs), the Technical Referent Water, Sanitation, Hygiene (RT EAH) supports Program Managers and technical coordinators in the management and technical monitoring of EHA programs developed on the expertise for which it is responsible, in particular the suitability between activities, and, results and objectives of the EHA programmes with the general objectives and strategies of the’association (in particular the EAH strategy), as defined in the annual programme frameworks. He’s ensures the achievement of’an optimal quality of activities, via a remote support or a field deployment, and makes its contribution to the coherence and adequacy of the means and resources mobilized. 30% of his time is also dedicated to the strategic projects of the DOAP EAH division.

In this perspective, he·she :

  • Actively participates in the development of global, regional and SI EAH strategies, ensures their proper implementation and ensures external promotion.
  • Contributes to the process of capitalization and improvement of EAH methods and techniques of SI, and strengthens the technical and methodological skills of the human resources of the missions.
  • In order to ensure quality monitoring with missions, the RT EAH can be deployed up to 25% of its time in the field for a maximum of 3 weeks per deployment.

In addition, 30% of its time ( on average ) will be devolved to the institutional and strategic projects of the EAH pole of DOAP, in particular support for innovation and research, monitoring of technical partners, and production of technical framing documents.

 

Your profile

 

Training :Higher education (Bac + 5 desired) in hydraulics, hydrogeology,’eau management and/or civil engineering (Ecole d’’engineer, France, BTS Management and Mastery of’Water Master specialized in management and engineering services of’water and’sanitation, etc.…).

 

Experience : At least 5 years of experience’ in humanitarian mission Emergency & Reconstruction on projects or programs Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (including at least two years in project coordination and management of’ team)..

 

Technical and methodological skills :

  • Knowledge of water resources, their management and protection, hydrogeology
  • Works and methods of production of’eau : drilling, wells, source capture, …
  • Pumping stations and’energy sources (renewable energy, sizing, construction, maintenance and management)
  • Geochemistry, chemistry of’eau, analysis and quality control of’eau
  • Potabilization of’eau: works and processes
  • Distribution of’ potable water : emergency distribution points, networks (sizing, construction, maintenance and management)
  • Epidemics of diarrhoeal diseases (ex : cholera), epidemic with pandemic potential (ex : Ebola) : Epidemiology, control techniques and management
  • Vector control
  • Project diagnosis and setup ; project evaluation
  • Investigations, analysis of context
  • Community approach, collaboration with national and local authorities ;
  • Functionality, management and governance of’EHA systems /institutional strengthening of EHA services
  • Ability of d’animation, training, negotiation skills
  • Appetence for HR management
  • Appetence to research, development and’appropriation methodologies of’technological innovation

IF will offer you the following conditions

 

  • Position based at the headquarters of Solidarity International, in Clichy la Garenne (Mairie de Clichy Metro) with field trips
  • CDI Contract – Framework Statute
  • Monthly gross remuneration of : 3183 € or 3316 € depending on the grid in force at headquarters
  • Possibility of telework: 4 or 12 days of Telework per month or 100% of telework with 3 days of mandatory face-to-face per month. In accordance with the current Telework Charter and the manager.
  • Leave: 2.0833 CP / month and 1 day of RTT / full month of work
  • Recovery days and medical cover 100% supported during field trips
  • Mutual ( 80% ), restaurant tickets ( 60% ), transport tickets ( 50% ) supported by the association; telework package ( if option 100% )
