We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Junior Registrar – Obstetrics & Gynecology (O&G)
Location: Benin, Edo

Description
- This role is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and providing obstetrics & gynecology care services to patients in the general population.
- The job holder may refer patients to sub- specialists when the need for further diagnosis or treatment arises.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care to patients under the supervision of the Head of Department (HOD) and other senior medical staff
- Oversee the daily review and management of patients
- Interpret medical records, reports, and test results to diagnose patients’ conditions
- Supervise and monitor cesarean sections and other surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and successful delivery outcomes
- Ensure all patient records are comprehensive, accurate, and properly documented with signed, dated, and legible entries at every patient encounter
- Contribute to quality patient care through effective case planning, including pre-admission, in-hospital care, and discharge planning
- Identify and recommend appropriate investigations, treatments, and discharge plans as directed by the Registrar or Consultant
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement programs
- Take part in on-call duties and shift rosters as required.
Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 – 5 years of experience.
Administrative Functions:
- Manage administrative aspects of patient care, including timely completion of discharge summaries and medico-legal documentation
- Adhere strictly to all hospital policies and procedures relating to clinical practice
- Perform any other duties as assigned by senior leadership.
