Salary: Php 130,000.00 per month net of taxes (All inclusive fee)
Context
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, the overall supervision of the Director of the Staff Health and Welfare Division in Geneva and the administrative supervision of the Deputy Regional Director for Management, the successful candidate is responsible and accountable for providing occupational health services and support primarily to the IOM Employees and non-staff ( as per rules) based in Africa, North America and Latin America and the Caribbean.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- University Degree in Medicine from an accredited academic institution, with seven (7) years of relevant professional experience.
- Valid medical license is a must.
- Specialization in General Medicine, Occupational Health, Travel Medicine, or Infectious Diseases is an advantage
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum seven years’ experience in occupational health, including in the context of travel and tropical medicine.
- Experience in liaising with international organizations will be an asset.
SKILLS
- Broad knowledge of theories and techniques of occupational health, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of occupational and behavioural disorders, promotion of physical and mental health and control of substance abuse;
- Knowledge and familiarity in dealing with occupational health issues related to crisis and in developing countries;
- General knowledge of the work environment including regulatory requirements;
- Knowledge of legal and ethical issues related to occupational health care practice.
