Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against world hunger. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has founded its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by ending hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, especially during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Security and Livelihoods – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. In 2021,www.actioncontrelafaim.org
YOUR POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the responsibility of the health and nutrition service technical manager, the health referent will be in charge of the following missions:
– Lead the activities of the health unit and support the implementation of the alignment of nutrition and health with the ACF nutrition and health teams but also other departments.
– Work on numerous themes: strengthening health systems, sexual and reproductive health, epidemic management, pharmacy, primary health care, e-health, ensuring technical development, capitalization but also by facilitating their appropriation among the teams.
– Provide strategic and technical advice to operational teams.
– Ensure coordination and representation functions in working groups in the health field.
– Manage a health systems strengthening referent and a pharmacy referent.
YOUR PROFILE
– Health training (nurse, midwife, doctor) with training in public health which would be a plus
– You have at least 5 years of experience in an NGO with field missions.
– Fluency in English and French is essential.
– You must have in-depth knowledge of health principles and theories and master the operating methods and strategies of associated partners.
– You also have knowledge of public health and master the principles of project management.
– Organized and autonomous, you are recognized for your great analytical and synthesis skills, and are comfortable leading training and working groups
YOUR CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
– Status: Independent executive – Permanent contract – Full time
– Location: Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis)
– Salary conditions: – From 44K to 57KEUR gross annual over 13 months depending on experience
– 20 days of RTT
