CIFDH/DD works to promote human rights, sustainable development, and evidence-informed public policies. In an increasingly interconnected world, public health challenges transcend national borders, and policies related to international mobility and border controls can have significant implications for scientific collaboration, the movement of health professionals, knowledge exchange, and collective capacity to prevent and respond to health threats. This research aims to provide an independent, evidence-based analysis of the potential public health implications of U.S. travel restrictions affecting multiple countries, examining both the consequences for populations living in the United States and the broader effects on health systems and populations in the affected countries and worldwide. The findings of this work will contribute to the development of policy briefs, evidence-based advocacy, and CIFDH/DD’s efforts to promote public policies that uphold human rights, health equity, and international cooperation.Task Description

The estimated workload will involve reviewing several reference documents (scientific articles, studies, institutional reports, and international datasets) and producing written contributions throughout the duration of the assignment.Competencies and values
