We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Associate Medical Officer

Location: Abuja

Responsibilities
Provide Quality Patient Care:

  • See patients and listen carefully to their health concerns
  • Examine patients, order tests, and make clear treatment plans
  • Give safe, evidence-based care following clinic guidelines
  • Write notes and prescriptions neatly and on time

Educate and Counsel Patients:

  • Explain health conditions and treatment plans in plain language
  • Teach patients how to take medicines and when to come for review
  • Encourage healthy habits such as good diet, exercise, and rest
  • Check that patients understand what to do at home

Work With Other Medical Team Members:

  • Work closely with nurses, pharmacists, and other team members for excellent patient care delivery
  • Share updates and referrals clearly with other healthcare providers and specialists
  • Help new staff learn clinical routines and patient-care steps

Improve Health Programs and Services:

  • Join efforts to track clinic performance and patient outcomes
  • Support community health checks and wellness programs
  • Help collect data for reports and improvement plans from health checks and wellness programs

Ensure Professional Conduct:

  • Keep patient information private and secure
  • Be on time, respectful, and ready to work well with others
  • Follow all clinic rules and medical ethics
  • Keep learning to stay up to date in medical practice

Requirements
Required:

  • Minimum qualification of MBBS or MBChB or its equivalent from a recognized institution
  • 0 – 1 year Post NYSC experience
  • Valid license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
  • Completed NYSC with evidence of NYSC discharge certificate or exemption
  • Stay within 10km radius of the specific RFC applied for

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with digital health tools or EMR systems (not explicitly listed but highly valuable)
  • Previous experience in public speaking and health education
  • Ability to work 12hours shift within a clinic setting
