Are you a skilled South Sudanese professional passionate about strengthening health systems and making a lasting impact in your country?
HACOF South Sudan is bidding to implement a nationwide initiative focused on improving health sector performance, transparency, and service delivery through independent monitoring and data-driven engagement.
We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified, committed South Sudanese experts eager to contribute to meaningful change. These positions are not yet active but are part of an upcoming initiative. Candidates will be considered for recruitment upon successful project confirmation.
Play a direct role in improving healthcare access and accountability while influencing decision-making through data, evidence, and independent monitoring. We are assembling a diverse team of South Sudanese experts and specialists, and we invite expressions of interest from qualified professionals ready to lead and shape the future of the health sector.
Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist:
Ensures project compliance with national and World Bank environmental, health, and safety standards. Leads EHS planning, risk assessments, and implementation.
• Ensures all activities meet environmental and occupational health standards.
• Lead EHS risk assessments and safety planning
• Implement measures that align with national and international safety protocols
• Monitor site conditions and advise on risk mitigation
• Train field teams in EHS practices
• Address any environmental or health safety concerns during implementation
Qualifications:
• Master’s in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years implementing EHS protocols on donor-funded projects
• Deep understanding of World Bank and IFC safeguards
• Strong planning, documentation, and field coordination experience
