We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Community Health Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• The Community Health Officer is responsible for delivering primary healthcare services, promoting disease prevention, and improving the overall health and well-being of individuals and families within the community.
• The officer serves as a link between the healthcare system and the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide basic medical care and first aid to community members
• Conduct health education and awareness programs (maternal health, hygiene, nutrition, immunization)
• Monitor and manage common illnesses and refer complicated cases to hospitals
• Carry out home visits and community outreach programs
• Support maternal and child health services, including antenatal and postnatal care
• Assist in immunization programs and disease surveillance
• Collect, document, and report health data accurately
• Support public health campaigns and emergency response activities
• Collaborate with local leaders, NGOs, and healthcare professionals
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Community Health, Public Health, or related field
• Valid practicing license (where applicable)
• Basic clinical and first aid skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Knowledge of local health challenges and community dynamics
