Job Title: Consultant Family Physician

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and patient-centred Consultant Family Physician to join our clinical team.
  • The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, continuous care to individuals and families across all age groups, while supporting high standards of clinical governance and service delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality primary and preventive care, including diagnosis, treatment, health promotion, and chronic disease management.
  • Conduct consultations for acute and long-term conditions and coordinate appropriate referrals.
  • Lead multidisciplinary care planning and collaborate with nursing, specialist, and allied health teams.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in line with professional and organisational requirements.
  • Support clinical audits, quality-improvement initiatives, teaching, and mentoring where required.
  • Uphold patient safety, confidentiality, ethical practice, and relevant regulatory standards.

Essential requirements

  • Medical Degree (MBBS/MBChB or equivalent) and full registration with the relevant medical regulatory body.
  • Recognised postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine/General Practice.
  • Consultant-level experience in family medicine or primary care.
  • Strong clinical judgement, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred care.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
