Job Description
- The successful candidates will provide specialist medical care within their respective fields, supporting accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, patient safety, and high-quality clinical outcomes.
- You will work closely with other doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and hospital management as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
- Manage patients within your area of specialty in accordance with accepted clinical standards.
- Review investigations and provide appropriate clinical interpretation.
- Participate in multidisciplinary patient management where required.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Support quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance initiatives.
- Provide professional guidance and mentorship where applicable.
- Maintain high standards of ethics, professionalism, confidentiality, and patient-centred care.
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Recognized postgraduate specialist qualification in the relevant specialty.
- Current registration and licence to practise with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Relevant clinical experience as a specialist/consultant.
- Strong clinical judgement and communication skills.
- Commitment to patient-centred care and professional excellence.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary hospital environment.
