GS1 Nigeria is a Member-Organization and the Nigerian Sole Representative of GS1 Global Organization which consists of 108 Member-Organizations. GS1 Nigeria was officially registered in July 2007 and launched its office in August 2007. GS1 Nigeria helps its member companies implement GS1 standards through the use of unique item numbers, bar codes, electronic data interchange, radio frequency identification and global data synchronization network.   • The Deputy Healthcare Officer will be responsible for supporting the operationalization of the national traceability vision to the Healthcare sector and Pharmaceutical Industry in Nigeria.
Responsibilities
  • Creation of awareness of GS1 Standards in Healthcare to the Pharmaceutical Industry and other Healthcare Sectors. This will include presentations and meetings to promote the use of our standards and regular follow-up.
  • Support the above organizations to ensure GS1 standards are adopted while promoting the workability of GS1 standards to support the implementation of solutions for supply chain efficiency, traceability, and patient care. This will also include proper product listing.
  • Organize and conduct trainings sessions and webinars for target organizations and associations on using and deploying GS1 standards for application in healthcare.
  • Produce market assessments and reports for Traceability Implementation as required.
  • Actively participate in industry groups, workshops, and conferences to drive the development of standards with global impact.
  • Active participation in local and global Conferences.
  • Coordination of country traceability pilots as a member of the Healthcare Team.
  • Regular report updates.
  • Handle Online Content on GS1 Nigeria’s website with respect to events, webinars, news etc
  • Engagement of Medical and Hospital Associations
  • Provide support to the Healthcare Executive Officer on regulatory Functions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.
