JOB SUMMARY

Nurse will be responsible to provide nursing care, treatment and follow-up of patients, according to doctors’ prescriptions, protocols applied in service and universal hygiene standards/precautions, in order to ensure the quality and continuity of care to patients attending.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organizing and carrying out care and treatments according to medical prescriptions, and assisting during consultations and other medical procedures.
  • Ensure triage of patients in the waiting area and detect priority for acute/emergency cases. Carrying out first aid care and referring them to the doctor when necessary.
  • Ensure all patients have their vital signs and all proper assessment before each consultation with a General Physician.
  • Assist the general physician and the nutritionist in any medical activity.
  • Knowing, promoting, implementing and following up the universal hygiene standards/ precautions, bio-hazard prevention and infection control. Ensure high standards of hygiene of his/her working environment.
  • Perform cleaning and disinfection of biomedical equipment.
  • Sending material to be sterilized and recuperating it from sterilization.
  • Ensure the cleaning and disinfection of care areas, especially at the doctor room.
  • Keep weekly inventory of medications and supplies and provide this information to the MedGlobal Project Coordinator.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Comply with MedGlobal policies, rules and regulations
  • Contribute to MedGlobal social media presence.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience supporting clinical processes, implementation of health projects, health reporting programs, and other.
  • Professional card
  • Computer literacy
  • Previous NGO work.
  • Experience with migrant and refugee populations.
  • Team work.
  • Working under pressure.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Ability to keep its superiors informed about project’s updates and progress.
  • Ability to work independently, quickly, problem solve, anticipate challenges, and handle data with confidentiality.
  • Strong skills working with a variety of systems and technologies, including but not limited to Google Suite, Microsoft office, Excel, Adobe PDF.
