Focus on the Technical & Capitalization Service
The Technical & Capitalization Service consists of 13 people. The STC is the guarantor of the development and respect of the policies and frameworks of’sectoral interventions in line with the sectors of’ intervention of PUI. He accompanies the teams at headquarters and in the field to improve the technical quality of the interventions carried out. The STC intervenes transversally in all the missions of the’organisation with a focus on 3 specific objectives: the technical and programmatic support to the operations through the’ technical and strategic support, capitalization and technical standardization, strengthening the technical capacities of the’organization.
And the Health Referent in all this?
As Health Referent , under the responsibility of/the head of Technical Service and Deputy capitalization –Public Health, <TAG1>, you will ensure the quality of the Health and Nutrition programs in the field and you will strengthen the capacities of the teams. You will work on the capitalization, practical guides and positioning of First International Emergency in Health and Nutrition.
For this purpose, your responsibilities will be as follows :
Country and headquarters health strategy: You will ensure the quality of the programs as well as the respect of the medical ethics and humanitarian principles of the’Association. You will ensure compliance with the policy and the framework of’ intervention in Health of the’Association. You will participate in the development and implementation of the programming of the technical service.
Capitalization and standardization: You will ensure the capitalization and dissemination on the missions of the procedures, practices and know-how related to the Health projects set up on the missions. You will contribute to the dissemination of innovative projects and the use of new communication technologies and’information on missions.
Technical and programmatic support: You will provide strategic and technical support to field teams during the different phases of the project cycle, for regular missions,’ exploration and’urgence. You will participate in the implementation of the’ integrated approach on missions. You will provide support to the missions of the operational cluster on technical issues and you will provide support for the assembly of projects in their health dimension. You will provide technical support to the reflection and implementation of’a contingency plan for emergency’ responses. You will provide technical support for’health teams and/or you will participate directly in exploratory missions on emergencies.You will be in charge of validating the technical relevance of the pharmaceutical and medical equipment orders issued by the missions followed.
Monitoring and evaluation : You will participate in the reflection and formalization of’tools in the service of missions: Monitoring/epidemiological monitoring, medical procedures, guidelines of’ intervention, tools of’ evaluation of health needs, etc, research and dissemination of’ medical articles.You will support and validate the methodologies of’assinvestigations of’impact and’medical medical evaluations carried out on missions.
Human resources: You will participate in the recruitment of health profiles, you will participate in their briefings and debriefings from start and return of mission and you will participate in their training. You will also participate in the development and updating of health policy documents for expatriates and national employees.You will conduct technical professional appraisal interviews for health coordinators.
Representation and coordination: You will ensure the representation of the’association with’other partners of’ from a technical point of view on public health issues. You will support the mission by representing the’association with donors or other if necessary.
The challenges ahead of you:
The/the Referent/e Health and Nutrition divides its time between providing technical support to missions and other headquarters departments and framing the quality of programme implementation at the institutional level. It ensures the quality of Health and Nutrition programs in the field and strengthens the capacities of teams. He/She ensures the’integration of the’ sectors by making the link with the other members of the’ team STC. He/She works on the capitalization, the technical documents of framing and implementation and positioning of First International Emergency as a humanitarian’acteur implementing the integrated approach.
What you will need to succeed
Formation
You can justify an initial diploma in Health (Doctor, nurse, midwife, pharmacy, etc.). A degree in public health will be a plus!
Experience
You are with a minimum of 3 years of experience in international solidarity NGOs in the management and implementation of Health projects and in technical coordination of Health / Nutrition activities on mission. Have you ever worked with First International Emergency ? It will be an undeniable asset !
Skills
Do you have good knowledge in training for adults ? This position is made for you !
Qualities required
You show a good spirit of analysis and synthesis, are a good communicator, both in writing and in oral, with a taste for teamwork and training skills. You are responsive, flexible, adaptable, organizational, and have good resistance to stress.
Languages

PUI will propose
Status:Â Framework
Salary:Â 3100 EUR gross monthly over 12 months
Medical coverage:Â 80% of the mutual Health and Providence
Support: Support up to 50% of the ticket and up to 60% of Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of 9€)
Rest: 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month (37h/week)
