The organization
Plan International is a humanitarian organization and independent development who does advance children’s rights and gender equality or equality supplement of rights for girls. We believe in power and potential of every child but we know that this is often swept away through poverty, violence, exclusion, social norms and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.
By working jointly with children, young people, supporters and partners, we are looking for a world fairer and more sustainable that address the root causes of challenges that vulnerable girls and children may face.
We support girls and more broadly all children from birth to adulthood to develop their autonomy and give them the ability to decide for their lives in a situation of development and/or emergency. We drive change in practices and policies at local, national and levels global through our reach, experience and knowledge needs, realities and inequalities.
For more than 85 years, we have mobilized other optimists determined∙es to transform the lives of all children in more than 80 countries. Together we won’t stop.
Until equality!
