Doctors with Africa CUAMM is the first Italian healthcare-focused NGO officially recognized by Italian authorities.
Founded in 1950 with the aim of training doctors to work in developing countries, Doctors with Africa CUAMM is working in Angola, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and the Central African Republic implementing healthcare projects in partnership with local governments and institutions.
JOB TITLE: Medical Logistics Coordinator
JOB LOCATION: South Sudan, Juba
START DATE: September 2023 (ASAP)
DURATION: 12 months
REQUIREMENTS
- University Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification; further studies in the field of logistics/procurement are considered an asset
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Previous experience supporting drugs management
- Good managerial skills
- Previous professional experience in fragile and/or low resources countries
- Adaptability
KEY DUTIES
The Medical Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the management and movement of drugs, medical supplies and equipment.
The main activities will be:
- developing, strengthening and coordinating the drugs management system at Hospital, peripheral health facilities and community levels
- ensuring appropriate stores and supply inventories of drugs, medical supplies and equipment
- supervising management and maintenance of cold chain
- organizing and supervising delivery and distribution of drugs, medical supplies and equipment to the various field offices
- introducing tools to monitor the availability of drugs and medical supplies and to assess their needs
- monitoring and report drugs and supplies consumption
- training the logistic and supply team on drugs and medical supplies management
- collaborating to the procurement of drugs, medical supplies and equipment
