Job Title: Medical Officer

Job Description
- We are seeking a competent and motivated Medical Officer for a 4-month contract position, with an interest in career development in Internal Medicine, Medical Specialties, or Critical Care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care and management of patients with acute and chronic medical conditions under appropriate supervision.
- Develop competence through on-the-job learning in clinical assessment, investigation, diagnosis, and management of medical conditions.
- Perform basic clinical procedures and diagnostic tests as required.
- Participate in treatment, preventive healthcare, and other clinical services as delegated by the supervising healthcare provider.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using the EMR.
- Maintain patient confidentiality, professionalism, and impartiality at all times.
- Liaise effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and quality patient care.
- Provide clinical instructions and support to nursing staff and other clinical teams as required.
- Adhere to the hospital’s clinical policies, procedures, and standards of care.
Requirements
- Degree in Medicine (MBBS) from an accredited university.
- 1–3 years of post-qualification experience as a Medical Officer.
- Successful completion of NYSC.
- Current registration and a valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Good knowledge of General Medicine.
- Computer literacy and ability to use electronic medical records (EMR).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good counselling, listening, and patient-care skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Willingness to work within the requirements of a 4-month contract.
