At the head of a large network of 600 establishments in the health, medico-social, social and education sectors, the French Red Cross employs more than 16,000 people and is comprised of 70 professions in “medical-educational institutes, daycare centers, retirement homes, functional rehabilitation centers, training institutes, emergency accommodation centers, international missions, etc.”

The Bordeaux Anti-Exclusion Center opens 10 LHSS beds and 15 LAM beds on Boulevard George V
– 10 LHSS Beds:Â The system will accommodate any adult male or female who does not have a home and whose pathology or general, somatic and/or psychological condition requires follow-up care but does not justify hospital or medico-social care but is incompatible with life on the streets.
The people welcomed are supported both on a somatic and psychological level, as well as on an educational and daily life level.
The coordinating physician is therefore responsible for medical care, the technical procedures and coordination of which are delegated to the nurses.
Daily care is carried out by nursing assistants under the supervision of the nurses. The psychologist receives people for an initial interview a few days after admission. He/she then defines the need to schedule regular appointments and the need to mobilize the network of partners around the situation if necessary.
– 15 LAM beds:Â the system will accommodate any adult, male or female, in a situation of great precariousness, without a fixed address, presenting serious and/or chronic, irreversible, sequelae or disabling pathologies, with a more or less poor prognosis, which do not require specialized hospital or medico-social care but are incompatible with life on the street? The people welcomed into the LAMs are supported both on a somatic level, by nursing staff, 24-hour nursing assistants and psychological support, as well as on an educational and daily life level.

Main missions:
Your missions will be structured within the care unit, in conjunction with the other members of the team and under the responsibility of the Health Manager, around the following activities:
– Organize and implement nursing care for patients for whom you guarantee continuity of care,
– Contribute to the continuity of care through traceability of the care provided and through communication of targeted information to the various stakeholders,
– Participate in the implementation of the quality approach, the establishment project and the evaluation of practices.
