Caring Habitat is a 40-room purpose-built inpatient skilled nursing and rehabilitation hospital designed to complement the health outcomes of patients through the delivery robust rehabilitation program.

Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Locum

Location: Abraham Adesanya, Lekki – Lagos
Employment Type: Temporary

Position Overview

• We seek a compassionate and detail-oriented Occupational therapist, who will be tasked with the operation and administration of Occupational therapy to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing evaluations of patients’ physical, cognitive, psychological, and sensory-motor capabilities, as well as their environments.
• Interpret assessment results to determine the patient’s functional needs and establish patient-centered, measurable, and realistic treatment goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing purposeful and meaningful activities (occupations).
• Provide skilled interventions, including therapeutic exercise, activity modification, sensory integration techniques, and cognitive rehabilitation.
• Educate and train patients and their families/caregivers on therapeutic techniques, use of adaptive equipment, and strategies for environmental modifications.
• Collaborate effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team (including Doctors, physiotherapists, speech therapist, Dietician, Nurses) to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment.
• Select, recommend, and fabricate adaptive equipment and assistive technology (e.g., splints, mobility aids, dressing aids) and train patients on their correct use.
• Accurately and timely document patient progress, treatments, billing, and all other clinical activities in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Participate in patient case conferences, team meetings, and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Occupational therapy license
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Occupational therapy.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented and able to work independently

Pay Package

• Daily pay of 10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira).
