And the Pharmacy Monitoring Officer in all this?

Under the supervision of the Responsible Pharmacist, you will contribute to strengthening the quality of interventions and pharmaceutical practices. You will also act as the responsible Pharmacist in order to guarantee the continuity of pharmaceutical operations.

To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:

• Quality Assurance: you will participate in the implementation and compliance with the organization’s QA policy, particularly on the selection of local suppliers and sources of medicines.
• Technical, programmatic and strategic support: in collaboration with the Responsible Pharmacist, you will provide technical support to the field and headquarters teams on all pharmacy-related issues. You will train and support field teams in the use of tools and procedures. You will ensure compliance with the use of tools and monitoring of PUI procedures.
• Human ressources: you will provide support to missions during recruitment.
• Capitalization of experience and standardization: you will contribute to the overall harmonization of pharmaceutical practices.

As Interim Responsible Pharmacist: only during the absences of the Responsible Pharmacist, the Interim Responsible Pharmacist has the authority, independence, resources and responsibilities necessary to carry out his missions, only during interim periods. He must assume his responsibilities personally.

To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:

• Regulatory compliance: you will contribute to maintaining the wholesale distributor license for humanitarian purposes with the ANSM.
• Quality Management System (QMS): you will keep PUI’s quality management system (QMS) up to date.
• Batch recalls and Pharmacovigilance: you will immediately coordinate and process (<24 hours) all actions to recall batches of medicines, pharmacovigilance and complaints.
• Supply chain integrity: you will guarantee the integrity of the pharmaceutical supply chain, from suppliers to the recipient.
• Continuity of pharmaceutical operations: you will ensure the continuity of emergency pharmaceutical operations, including outside the establishment’s opening hours (pharmaceutical on-call) and ensure the replacement of the PR

The challenges that await you:

Ensure compliance with the Quality Assurance policy. Strengthen the quality of pharmaceutical practices. Provide technical support to missions. Maintain the quality management system (QMS) up to date.

What you will need to succeed

• Training: You have obtained a Pharmacist Diploma obtained in one of the EU countries. This criterion is MANDATORY. Training in Good Wholesale Distribution Practice (BPDG) would be appreciated**.**
• Experience You have at least one expatriation experience in a medical humanitarian NGO. It is a plus to have relevant experience in pharmaceutical distribution and to be registered with the Order of Pharmacists. Have you already worked with Première Urgence Internationale? This will be an undeniable asset!
• Skills You have proven skills in Quality Assurance. You are familiar with good wholesale distribution practices as well as the quality management system (QMS). You also have a good knowledge of pharmaceutical product management in the field. You have already completed and provided training.
• Required qualities You are motivated to work in a humanitarian structure and you demonstrate leadership, analysis, flexibility and sense of priorities, as well as dynamism, rigor and adaptability, with an ability to work in stressful contexts.
• Languages French and English have no secrets for you? So much the better, it’s essential for this position! If you also speak Arabic, this will be an undeniable asset.

PUI will suggest you

• Status: Frame
• Salary: 3300 EUR gross monthly
• Medical coverage: 100% of mutual health and welfare insurance
• Support: Coverage of 50% of the transport ticket and 60% of Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of 10€)
• Rest: 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month (37 hours/week)
