Doctors Without Borders, an international humanitarian medical association created in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: mainly in the event of armed conflicts, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters or exclusion from care. The French section is present in about thirty countries.

As part of’a replacement, we are looking for two :

Mission France – Ile de France Project

Context:

MSF has three main activities on its Ile de France project:

day care for unaccompanied minors (ANM) : access to legal, social support, access to somatic and mental health care, guidelines for common law), located in Pantin (93) ;

– A’ accommodation device, boys and girls, with educational accompaniment, located in the 93 ;

– A Mobile Clinic composed of’a multidisciplinary (medico-social) team working in Ile de France

Objectives of the position:

In a context of comprehensive care, as part of the mental health care pathway and consistent with their journey in the structure : Provide psychological support to Unaccompanied Minors, but also to other beneficiaries of the project, in accordance with MSF principles, standards and procedures in order to improve their mental health.

Main responsibilities:

In accordance with MSF principles and protocols and with the support of the Head of Mental Health :

Individual and collective support :

Identify and evaluate the psychological support needs of Unaccompanied Minors in Day Reception and Hosted, but also to other beneficiaries hosted.

· Propose and implement the accompanying, individual and/or collective devices adapted to the identified issues (individual consultations and group activities) and consistent with the path and time of care of young people by the project.

· Initiate and animate group activities (stress management techniques..).

Orientations :

Refer young people, as needed, urgently or not, to the common law structures and other mental health partners adapted to each.e.:

YOUNG people with psychiatric disorders/emergencies ;

Ensuring psychotherapeutic accompaniments ;

· Ensure the follow-up of the guidelines.

S’ensure of the quality of interventions in the’ interest of beneficiaries :

Inform the Head of the Mental Health Unit of any technical or operational issues or difficulties that may hinder psychological care or operational progress, with the aim of’ to improve mental health services provided to patients ;

Favour a global approach to patient care : collaborate with the different project poles in respect of patient confidentiality ;

Participate in meetings with other project clusters and multidisciplinary meetings.

Participate in the qualitative and quantitative monitoring of’activity and the project :

Inform the Head of Mental Health Unit of any questions or problems that may arise in connection with the treatment, so as to offer the best care for the patient.

(Reporting its activity to the Head of Mental Health Unit : drafting of monthly reports.

Save the data necessary for patient follow-up in the MSF database, according to the established protocol.

Participate in advocacy and communication activities.

Profile sought

Education : Master 2 or D.E.S.S. in Clinical Psychology. Trauma and Transcultural Specialities desired. Specialty in Clinic and group theory is a plus.

Experience :

2 Years minimum of’· experience with individual psychological/psychotherapeutic accompaniments

2 Experience with’an audience of’adolescents or young people with specific issues related to a complex migratory journey (violence, control, trafficking, prostitution, etc.) required.

Experience within MSF or’another NGO is a plus

Languages : French. Desirable english. Arabic language, farsi, bambara is an asset.

Status :

A fixed-term contract (CDD) 6 months.

A fixed-term contract (CDD) 12 months

Conditions :

3,095.87 € monthly gross over 13 months. 22 days of RTT per year. Complementary health care 100% supported by Doctors Without Borders. Titles restaurants of’a face value of 11.00€ (60% support by MSF). Support for 50% of the public transport ticket or equivalent.
