ALIMA PRESENTATION
L’ESPRIT ALIMA : ’alima’s reason for being is to save lives and care for the most vulnerable populations, without any identity, religious or political discrimination, through actions based on closeness, and, L’innovation et l’ alliance of’organisations and’individuals. We act with humanism, impartiality and respect for l’ethics universal medical. In order to access patients, we are committed to intervening in a neutral and independent manner.
CARE – INNOVATE – TOGETHER :Since its creation in 2009, ALIMA has treated more than 10 million patients, and today deploys its operations in 12 countries of’Africa. In 2022, we developed more than 60 humanitarian medical response projects to meet the needs of populations affected by conflict, epidemics and extreme poverty. All these projects are in support of national health authorities through nearly 511 health facilities (including 47 hospitals and 464 health centres). We work in partnership, including with local NGOs, as soon as possible to improve access and transfer of skills that ensures the sustainability of our actions to our patients. In addition, to improve the humanitarian response, we conduct operational and clinical research projects, including,in particular to combat malnutrition and viral hemorrhagic fevers.
THE ALIMA TEAM :More than 2,000 people currently work for ALIMA. The field teams, as close as possible to the patients, receive their support from the coordination teams generally based in the capital of the countries of intervention’. These receive the support of the 4 desk teams and the’ team of the emergency department and openings based at the operational headquarters of Dakar, Senegal. The teams of Paris and New York are actively working on fundraising and’ at the representation of’ALIMA. The rest of the ALIMA Galaxy includes individuals and partner teams working on behalf of’ other organizations such as BEFEN Medical NGOs, Health ALERT, SOS Doctors, KEOOGO, AMCP-SP, and others, DEMTOU-Humanitaire, the research organizations PAC-CI, Inserm, the Universities of Bordeaux or Copenhagen and many others.

CONTEXT
Research at ALIMA : CORAL, Emerging Infectious Diseases (EMI)
The CORAL (Clinical and Operational Research Alliance) platform was created in 2016 by ALIMA, which, L’INSERM and PAC-CI following their collaboration in the response to the’epidemic of Ebola Virus Disease in Guinea. This platform aims to’alliate research and humanitarian’action in order to improve the quality of care delivered to populations in crisis and thus reduce mortality. The CORAL platform conducts research projects on emerging infectious diseases and maternal and infant health, including acute malnutrition. The MIE cluster conducts research projects in Africa, on viral hemorrhagic fevers (lassa fever and Ebola Virus Disease) as well as on COVID-19.

PROTECTION OF BENEFICIARIES AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS
Level 3Â : As part of his duties, the incumbent of the position will be required to visit the programs and be in contact with children and/or vulnerable adults. Therefore, a criminal record check will be required.
MISSION
In collaboration with the CORAL MIE coordinator and her assistant, you coordinate the activities of the research projects entrusted to you.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
1. Responsible for the writing of’calles d’offre
2. Responsible for writing scientific documents
3. Supervision of field activities, in collaboration with the desks and ALIMA coordinations of the countries concerned
4. Implementation of measures to prevent the abuse of power, gender-based violence and sexual violence :
EXPERIENCES AND COMPETENCES
Formation
You hold a diploma of doctor,’ nurse, pharmacist or laboratory (Master or thesis in public health/mandatory epidemiology). You have at least 1 year of prior experience in clinical research, you have good knowledge of good practices related to clinical research (Regulatory aspects, ethics and vigilance). You have an appetite for creating and managing data. You have a good command of the Office pack, other software for collection, data analysis. You also have good capabilities of’statistical analysis.
Languages
Excellent written and oral expression in french and english
CONDITIONS
Type of contract :Â CDD of French law
Duration of the contract :Â 6 Months renewable
Date of taking up post :Â As soon as possible
Salary :Â Level 8 of the Paris Headquarters Grid
- Five weeks of paid leave per year and a system of recovery days for business travel
