Job Summary
- We are seeking a compassionate and qualified School Nurse to join our team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the health and well-being of students and staff, providing basic medical care, and managing health records.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to students and staff, including first aid, emergency care, and management of chronic conditions.
- Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify health issues and provide appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.
- Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with special health needs.
- Monitor and control the spread of communicable diseases within the school.
- Educate students, staff, and parents on health and wellness topics, including nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and external healthcare providers to support student health and well-being.
- Participate in the development and implementation of school health policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nigeria.
- Diploma Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Experience in Paediatric or School Nursing is preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Strong clinical and assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time Management skills.
- Proficiency in using health-related Software and Technology.
