Its objective is to ensure and promote the implementation of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) actions with quality and relevance in each of the project interventions, with a gender, age, disability and ethnic focus. It guarantees the quality of the information collected at the level of counterparts and technical implementation teams, carrying out periodic reports and monitoring.
The main activities you will perform are the following:
Objective 1: Implement and monitor the sexual and reproductive health and maternal health activities of the project, in close coordination with the implementation team
- Works in close cooperation with the project implementation team, in all comprehensive health activity services and other areas to ensure the relevance of the activities.
- Provide health services directly, with emphasis on SRH and maternal health, including the provision of basic gynecological consultations and low-risk prenatal care.
- Provide family planning counseling, promoting autonomy and informed decision-making, and transversally integrating gender, age, interculturality and disability approaches.
- Guarantee the rational and appropriate indication of medical treatment, in accordance with the patient’s clinical condition and in compliance with international and ACH protocols and guidelines.
- Timely detect people with risk and vulnerability conditions, including cases of high obstetric risk and STIs, providing adequate guidance and ensuring their referral and timely access to established care routes.
- Carry out adequate and systematic monitoring of the references made and promptly report on the identification of obstacles or barriers in the reference route for their resolution.
- Responsible for systematically monitoring the project’s SRH activities and indicators, through the implementation of monitoring and control plans for processes and procedures, in compliance with technical guidelines, humanitarian standards and the ACH mandate.
- Monitor the sexual and reproductive health situation of vulnerable areas/populations/communities in the project coverage area, using primary and external sources (communities, donors, multilateral agencies, government, other NGOs, etc.) and internal sources.
- Accompanies and supports the periodic review of the operation of the project’s pharmacy management processes, as well as the consumption of medications and supplies, stock alerts/breakups, and the purchase or donation forecast.
- Know, promote, implement and follow at all times universal hygiene standards/precautions, biological hazard prevention and infection control, safety rules and other protocols in medical facilities and ensure that high hygiene standards are met in your work environment.
OBJECTIVE 2: Contribute to the achievement of project objectives through quality implementation in sexual and reproductive health and maternal health.
- Ensure quality in the execution of project SRH activities, in compliance with international and ACH protocols and guidelines.
- Plan and lead training aimed at health personnel and community promoters, on prioritized topics of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and maternal health.
- Provide support and mentoring to health personnel in establishments supported by ACH to facilitate the practical and sustained application of protocols and guidelines in SRH and maternal health, in alignment with MPPS policies and protocols.
- Support and guide community awareness activities on prioritized SRH and maternal health topics, including SRHR, menstrual hygiene, family planning, importance of prenatal control, warning signs during pregnancy, transversally incorporating the intercultural and differential approach.
- Promote teamwork, collaboration, coordination and exchange of experiences, ideas, work methodologies and the collective creation of comprehensive strategies.
- Design comprehensive work plans together with the implementation team, with the support of the project manager, that clearly define: the required contributions, the objectives, the expected results, and goals to be achieved.
- Under the principles of confidentiality and the data protection policy, it exchanges with the ACH multidisciplinary team the results of evaluations, support plans, and needs detected in the field.
- Promotes Monitoring and Evaluation mechanisms to maintain accurate records (means of verification) and support them in monitoring and development activities.
- Systematically writes minutes of meetings, donations and deliveries, reporting them in the NHF space designated for this purpose with the aim of maintaining traceability.
OBJECTIVE 3: Strengthen the external relations of the projects with local actors related to the sectors of interest.
- Keep the mapping of services and institutions updated to facilitate access to SRH care routes and the safe referral of complex cases.
- Establish articulation and coordination with governmental and non-governmental organizations on SRH matters in conjunction with the Project Manager and/or Base Manager.
Objective 4: Manage knowledge and information about projects and activities.
- Actively participate in the kobo data collection system and guarantee the adequate collection of information from other means of verification (physical and/or digital, as well as in the analysis of data of interest to the project).
- It guarantees the proper management of the service database in the SSR area, respecting the ACH guidelines, in relation to the management of personal data and Habeas Data.
- Guarantee the correct analysis of data from the different programs and the consistency of the intervention in accordance with the project strategy.
- Present reports on activities in SSR and other areas (WASH, FSL, Gender and protection), monthly or as needed, ensuring quality information and presentation in all reports.
- Know the indicators and activities of the project and contribute to the follow-up and monitoring of the activities.
- Promote and develop systematizations based on findings on the ground, lessons learned and difficulties in relation to the activities in charge.
- Participate in the systematization and preparation of health reports according to the need (narrative reports, initial baseline and final community/family/individual line) of the activities under your responsibility.

- University studies in gynecology and obstetrics.
- Specific technical knowledge: Experience in implementation, planning and monitoring of primary care programs in Sexual and Reproductive Health.
- Experience and mastery in the implementation of health systems, standards, policies and technical, ethical, administrative, legal and safety procedures of national health authorities.
- Familiar with conflict resolution and community work techniques.
- Ability to work with counterparts and/or partners.
- Preparation of dissemination materials and systematization documents. Skills for planning tasks, developing field activities and preparing reports.
- Personnel training Previous experience:
- Experience in promotion and prevention activities at the community level is desirable.
- Minimum experience of 2 years in the health area.
- Knowledge of the work context in the state of BolÃvar and its communities is desirable.
- Knowledge of the humanitarian sector. Knowledge of ACF is desirable.
- Commitment to knowledge of the organization and its main lines of action.
- Availability for frequent trips to rural and difficult-to-access areas.
