Job Title: Site Medic / Nurse

Job Summary

  • The Site Medic / Nurse is responsible for providing immediate medical care, first aid, and health support to all site personnel.
  • This role ensures compliance with occupational health standards, maintains medical records, and promotes a safe and healthy workplace environment in line with company and industry regulations.
  • The position requires vigilance, professionalism, and the ability to respond quickly to medical emergencies on site.

Key Responsibilities and KPIs
Emergency Medical Response: Provide first aid and emergency medical treatment to staff, contractors, and visitors.

  • KPI: Respond to 100% of reported medical incidents within 5 minutes.
  • KPI: Achieve zero preventable escalation of minor injuries.

Clinic and Inventory Management: Maintain and operate the site clinic, ensuring availability of essential medical supplies and equipment.

  • KPI: 100% availability of critical medical supplies.
  • KPI: Conduct weekly medical inventory checks with zero stockouts.

Screening and Monitoring: Carry out daily health checks and routine monitoring of staff as required.

  • KPI: Complete 95% of required health screenings on schedule.
  • KPI: Submit accurate weekly health reports to management.

Support HSE initiatives by conducting health talks, toolbox meetings, and wellness awareness campaigns.

  • KPI: Deliver at least 2 health-related awareness sessions monthly.
  • KPI: Achieve at least 90% staff participation in health campaigns.

Medical Documentation and Reporting: Document, report, and maintain accurate records of all medical incidents and treatments.

  • KPI: Submit 100% of medical incident reports within 24 hours.
  • KPI: Ensure zero discrepancies in medical documentation.

Emergency Preparedness and Drills: Assist in emergency response drills and contribute to site safety preparedness.

  • KPI: Participate in 100% of planned drills.
  • KPI: Ensure medical readiness during all site emergency exercises.

External Medical Liaison and Referrals: Provide guidance on occupational health issues and liaise with hospitals or external medical facilities when referrals are required.

  • KPI: 100% timely referral of cases beyond site capacity.
  • KPI: Zero delays in emergency evacuation/transfer processes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent qualification in Nursing/Paramedics.
  • Current license to practice with relevant regulatory body.
  • 3+ years of experience in occupational health, industrial nursing, or site- based medical care (preferably oil & gas, construction, or heavy industry).
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or First Aid is required.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies.
  • Proficiency in medical recordkeeping and reporting.
