IRVDÂ is implementing projects through regional offices in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, Iraq, Palestine, and Somalia.
Our work sectors are Health, Nutrition, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Protection, Shelter & Non-food items, Wash and Sanitation.
IRVDÂ also manages development projects, advocates to empower civil societies and local governance.
Job Summary: We are looking for an accomplished and experienced Technical Manager (Prosthetics Expert) to lead our prosthetics and rehabilitation center. The ideal candidate will oversee all technical operations related to the design, manufacturing, and fitting of prosthetic limbs, ensuring the highest standards of quality and care. The Technical Manager will supervise a team of skilled technicians and work in close collaboration with medical professionals to ensure that patient needs are met effectively and efficiently. This role requires both leadership and hands-on expertise to optimize processes and deliver exceptional outcomes for patients
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the technical work plan in coordination with the Project Manager and Programs Department.
- Lead the implementation of technical strategies and action plans to meet project objectives.
- Manage and supervise the technical team to ensure efficient and timely project execution.
- Organize regular team meetings to track progress and address any challenges.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Programs Department.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training plan for the technical team, focusing on capacity building through hands-on supervision and structured training sessions to enhance skills and performance.
- Conduct periodic evaluations of technical staff to ensure high performance and adherence to standards.
- Develop and maintain quality control procedures to ensure technical work meets all required standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and uninterrupted project activities.
- Evaluate and customize prosthetic limbs by assessing patient needs and health status to determine functional requirements, ensuring each prosthesis meets design specifications. Oversee modifications and repairs to optimize performance, usability, and patient satisfaction before final delivery.
- Perform any additional tasks related to the role as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Prosthetics or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Prosthetist or in a similar technical role within the prosthetics industry.
- In-depth knowledge of prosthetic design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong commitment to high standards of patient care and ethical practice.
- Professional Project Management certification (if applicable), demonstrating expertise in project management methodologies.
Languages:
- Arabic and English are mandatory (oral and written)
