Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Operative Care: Prepare patients for surgery by assessing their condition, reviewing medical history, and ensuring they understand the surgical procedure and post-operative care.
- Assisting in Surgery: Assist surgeons during operations by handing them instruments, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Post-Operative Care: Provide care to patients recovering from surgery, including monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and providing wound care.
- Sterilization: Ensure that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for use.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including pre-operative assessments, surgical procedures, and post-operative care.
- Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to assist in emergencies during surgery and provide immediate care as needed.
