Summary of the position
Technical follow-up of medical education projects/activities in Syria and Turkiye and all related operations according to the plans set.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key relationships:
Syria Office Manager, MEAL, IMU, Field Offices, Finance Manager, Procurement, Logistic.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Provide technical inputs for medical education projects in the proposal stage.
- Follows up the implementation of medical education projects from a technical point of view and their progress according to the plans and standards set (required procedures – lectures – practical training – exams………)
- Coordinating with the teaching committees to provide the required technical support during the implementation of medical education projects.
- Coordinating with the scientific deputies at SAMS Medical Technical Institute at Syria to ensure the proper conduct of projects and to address difficulties and challenges in a timely manner.
- Participates in developing a plan for evaluating medical education programs in coordination with teaching committees and scientific deputies at SAMS Medical Education Institute at Syria.
- Collects the technical difficulties and challenges facing medical education projects and proposes solutions.
- To set, in coordination with scientific deputies, the criteria for accepting students and the academic qualifications of teachers.
- Develops a plan to evaluate local teachers and trainers on a regular basis, analyses the results and proposes appropriate recommendations.
- Coordinating with the Monitoring and Evaluation officer to develop a monitoring and evaluation plan for medical education projects.
- Coordinate with the programmatic officer for medical education projects regarding the logistical and programmatic requirements for medical education projects.
- Follow up on securing all technical documentation related to medical education projects.
- Participate in assessing the need for medical education projects and submit proposals in this regard.
- Participates in developing plans and standards, improving quality, and submitting the necessary studies through field data.
- Submitting the necessary proposals regarding building the capacity of the teaching staff in medical education institutes.
- Participates in proposing the necessary specifications for the equipment and tools needed for medical education projects and participates in the technical committees that study the offers.
- Prepares the necessary TORs for medical education projects.
- Participates in preparing monthly reports on the progress of various medical education projects.
- He/she supervises the work of the technical supervisor for medical education projects in Syria, and the technical field supervisor for the adult intensive care fellowship program in Syria.
- Participates in preparing the periodic reports required by the donor.
- Any other work-related tasks assigned to him by the supervisor with regard to medical education projects.

THE CANDIDATE’S REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory Qualifications required:
- A university degree in any medical field is required.
- Knowledge and Minimum 2 years of proven experience in medical education systems.
- Experience with NGO work is desired.
Languages:
- Fluent written and spoken in Arabic (native) and intermediate in English.
Competencies:
- High computer skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- High communication skills.
- Time-Management skills.
- Creativity and problem-solving approach to challenges.
- Scientific Background.
