Job Title: Cardiac Physiologist
Location:Â Port Harcourt, Rivers
Department: Allied Health Services
Summary of Responsibilities
- To provide a high quality, patient focused, efficient Cardiology Diagnostic service within the department.
- Assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders by conducting a range of invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems; maintaining equipment; recording test results.
- Assist in cath lab procedures. Work in conjunction with the department manager and other staff to ensure all service needs are met.
Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Healthcare Science or Medical Science or other relevant qualification.
- A strong interest in science and technology
- Excellent analytical skills
- Competency to carry out diagnostics
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a calm, confident and caring manner
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team with patients, doctors and other healthcare workers
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good hand to eye co-ordination and manual dexterity
- Able to concentrate for long periods.
