Halcom Management Services (HMS) – Our client, an international standard, multi-speciality, acute hospital located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2024. Facilities and services provided include: emergency care, surgical, medical, internal medicine, family medicine, renal care, gynaecology, obstetrics, paediatrics, pathology, physiotherapy radiology and pharmacy. Skilled and professional staff form the foundation of a well-run hospital. The hospital will provide up-to-date facilities and services allowing our medical professionals to work efficiently and effectively.

Job Title: Paramedic / Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT)

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Responsible for responding to emergency medical calls, assess patients’ conditions and implement first-aid procedures, providing on-site aid and transporting patients safely to medical facilities.
  • Additional duties include maintaining equipment, filing reports and transporting patients between hospitals or facilities.

Job Requirements

  • A Diploma or Degree in Paramedical Science or Associate Degree or appropriate further medical training
  • One or more years of paramedic experience
  • Valid state EMT-P Certification/EMS license
  • CPR certification.
  • Emergency response training, including first aid and trauma situations. (eg. ALS)
  • Clean driving record that complies with AMR Safety and Driving policy
  • Knowledge of medical procedures, terminology and medications
  • Excellent working knowledge of medical equipment and devices
  • Ability to stay calm and make the right decisions in adverse conditions Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.,
  • Excellent level of fitness, stamina, eyesight, and physical agility.
  • Able to work irregular hours, including weekends and national holidays.
  • Exceptional navigational and driving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills,
