Job Profile:
The Community Health Worker (CHW) serves as a frontline representative of Relief International at the community level, delivering health awareness, hygiene promotion, and community outreach activities. The CHW supports improved health practices, links communities with health services, and contributes to data collection and community engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Implementation
- Conduct home visits, group sessions, and outreach activities to deliver health and hygiene awareness.
- Promote safe and healthy practices using IEC materials and community engagement methods.
- Ensure activities align with RI guidelines, standards, and code of conduct.
- Community Engagement & Coordination
- Act as a key link between the community and RI teams.
- Mobilize community participation in health-related activities and campaigns.
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Collect basic demographic and health-related data at community level.
- Submit regular reports to supervisors and support surveys and assessments.
- Report community needs, service gaps, and trends affecting program implementation.
- Referral & Service Linkages
- Support referral of community members to health facilities and services.
- Maintain updated mapping of services and referral pathways.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Secondary school education required; preference for health or social science background.
Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in community or health-related work preferred.
Skills: Strong communication, community engagement, and interpersonal skills.
Languages: Arabic required.
