The incumbent receives technical supervision from the Field Oral Health Services Officer and administrative supervision from the Head Health Centre (A) or (B) to which he/she is assigned. The incumbent: 1. Performs periodic oral examination of school children and provides preventive management as required, including pit fissure sealant application; conducts oral health screening for preschool, school, pre-conception care, pregnant women and non communicable disease (NCD) patients; 2. Is responsible for providing oral and dental care services to registered refugees in the location to which s/he is assigned including minor dental surgeries and dental x-rays; 3. Maintains infection control procedures in the dental clinic; 4. Shares in the evaluation of the oral health programme in the location to which assigned, including collection of data through surveys and other means; 5. Provides training and technical support to Maternal and Child Health (MCH) staff on the implementation of oral health preventive programme for mothers, infants and children; 6. Ensures that all requirements for dental care, such as supplies, instruments and equipment are properly maintained; 7. Promotes oral hygiene and participates in raising awareness and dissemination of proper information related to oral health; 8. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
