The Africa Hub currently consists of one hub manager and four desk managers as well as two program support managers, three health referents and three hub secretaries. The cluster’s activities are focused on Emergencies and Crises, Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and Risk Reduction programs (drug use and sex work).
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the supervision of the division manager, you provide technical support to project teams to guarantee the quality of health practices within programs in their definition and implementation. You have a functional link with the head of the quality practices division of the health and advocacy department.
The geographical scope of this position currently covers the following countries: Ethiopia, Tanzania and Burkina-Faso. Depending on needs, the portfolio can be reviewed and support can be requested from the other missions of the division, namely Nigeria, Madagascar, Ivory Coast, DRC and CAR.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Contribute to the development of the operational strategy and the advocacy strategy of the programs and participate in the development and construction of projects
- Participate in the definition of indicators, monitoring and evaluation as well as the analysis and valorization of health data
- Supervise the planning and monitoring of health activities and dedicated human and financial resources
- Contribute to the development, implementation and adaptation of tools, protocols and reference frameworks for programs
- Monitor and analyze the health situation and health policies in the countries in your portfolio
- Supervise and analyze the management of pharmaceutical products
- Participate in the recruitment of health personnel and contribute to team briefings
- Provide your technical support regarding team health within the framework of MdM rules and policies
- Represent the association at conferences
- Participate in MdM internal training
- Contribute to the writing of reports or scientific articles

Gross monthly salary of 3,362 euros

REQUIRED PROFILE :
Profile: doctor, nurse, midwife/midwife
Knowledge or experience in public health
Field experience of at least 3/4 years in an NGO in medical coordination positions
Training or knowledge in project management desired
Languages: Fluent French and English required
