Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide safe and comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with approved standards and procedures.
  • Assess patients’ conditions, monitor vital signs and overall health status, and report any changes requiring medical intervention to the physician.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physicians’ instructions and medication safety procedures.
  • Perform and follow up on necessary nursing procedures according to the patient’s condition and the assigned department.
  • Provide care to newborns, children, and women according to the nature of the assigned department.
  • Monitor patients and newborns, follow up on their healthcare needs, and ensure continuity of care.
  • Contribute to the care of children and newborns in specialized units, including incubator units, in accordance with approved medical procedures.
  • Provide nursing care to women before, during, and after childbirth, and monitor their health status according to the instructions of the medical team.
  • Assist in preparing patients and women for medical procedures and surgeries when required.
  • Maintain infection prevention and control measures, including hygiene, sterilization, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Accurately document all nursing procedures and care provided and maintain medical records and files.
  • Conduct clear and organized handovers of patient cases between shifts.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on appropriate healthcare practices and instructions according to their condition.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and hospital policies.
  • Perform any other nursing duties within the scope of practice and according to the needs of the department.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Nursing degree or diploma.
  • Valid nursing practice license.
  • Previous nursing experience, preferably in pediatric, neonatal/incubator, or maternity and obstetrics departments.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and under pressure.
  • Willingness to work shifts according to the hospital’s needs.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with patients and their families.
