We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Nurse – DIC Coordinator Job ID: sfh-02507 Locations: Gombe and Kwara Contract Duration: Fixed Term Category: Program Key Responsibilities The DIC Coordinator would be knowledgeable and possess skills to carry out the following responsibilities:
  • Provision of comprehensive clinical assessment services to clients resulting in safe and appropriate clinical decisions that reflect their healthcare needs.
  • Initiate appropriate services (e.g., first aid and emergency interventions, ART, PrEP refills) to improve client outcomes and secure the safety of clients and clinic staff, facilitate the triage process using clinical knowledge and appropriate interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, and understanding.
  • Work closely with the cART team and OSS staff in ensuring smooth implementation of community/facility-based ART, PrEP, STI and TB service to key population.
  •  Escalate and refer issues beyond the DIC control to the clinical supervisor.
  • Source and build vendor database for support group meetings.
  • Ensure request and retirements of financial transactions are done in a timely manner.
  • Report stockout and request for commodities on a timely basis
  • Report to the clinical supervisor on a weekly basis
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned.
Job Requirements Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or completion of an accredited Nursing programme.
Experience:
  • Must possess minimum of 2 years experience in nursing practice
  • Must possess 1 year experience in creating medical records.
  • Must possess 1 year experience in providing appointment and follow up service in HIV care and treatment.
  • Possession of advanced training in Nursing would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate computerized triage assessment records is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in HIV/AIDS programmes especially key and general population intervention is highly desirable.
